„Neues, mit und ohne Farbe“

Barbara Böttcher - a Hamburg based artist with Danish roots - presents new exciting works on canvas and paper. Her visuals seem to be true border crossers, as they skilfully move on the ridge of the representational. Visual associations emerge intuitively while strong colors appear in addition to black. Barbara Böttcher formulates her reflections with charcoal, watercolor or acrylic. And finally there are the bizarre, figurative ink drawings. The subjects of these small, eccentric sheets look far into the darker side of human and social reality.
