Hamburg on Screen

Huset-Biograf, Copenhagen's leading underground cinema, is presenting two days of Hamburg cinema. Besides the shortfilm program „Hamburg Shorts“ - combined with a meet and mingle with two Hamburg film directors, two Hamburg related feature film complete the presentation.

ONCE UPON A TIME – INDIANERLAND is the 2017 feature film debut by Hamburg based director Ilker Catak. The coming-of-age story portrays a 17 year old boy with a turbulent life: he is torn between two women – the one he fancies is not interested in him, the one who fancies him doesn’t interest him. To top this confusing ménge à trois, he constantly sees a native American who seems to be harassing him and has to learn what really matters in life.

Imker Catak was nominated for a Student-Oscar for his 2014 shortfilm “Wo wir sind” which won best film at the Max-Ophüls-Festival. In 2015 he won the Student Academy Award in Gold for his short film Sadakat. ONCE UPON A TIME – INDIANERLAND is his feature film debut.

THE MASTER TOUCH is a 1972 Italian / West German crime film directed by Michele Lupo starring Kirk Douglas and Florinda Bolkan.
