As part of the Hamburger Kultursommer, Move the North in collaboration with The English Theatre of Hamburg are excited to present: “Hamburger Kultur International”. Join us for our two week outdoors festival program at the Marzipanfabrik and enjoy music, theatre, literature and more. The entrance is free.​​​​​​​​​​​​

15:00 Paul Glaser, Silvia Varelli & Friends
The choreographer Silvia Varelli and two dancers interpret poems by the Swedish poet Karin Boye in collaboration with Swedish born director and actor Paul Glaser in four languages (German, Swedish, English, Italian). An inspiring and thought-provoking improvisation of poetry and dance. Dramaturge Joanna Kaczmarek is also part of the creative team. Dancers: Maaria Lata, Maksym Lata.

Straight from France, OUBLIE LOULOU returns from the Mediterranean with a suitcase full of melodic souvenirs and the desire to arouse wanderlust in Hamburg’s audiences with their newly imported French chansons. Let yourself be carried away musically - Allez, en route! With: Anja Treskatis (vocals), Goran Lazarevic (accordion), Dawid Zurawski (guitar), Thomas Prisching (double bass), Sebastian Albrecht (clarinet / saxophone)

The American Soul and Blues singer Joanne Bell, along with her outstanding band, takes us on an entertaining musical journey from Harlem to Hamburg. Joanne Bell is known to the German audience through her many starring roles in Musicals and shows, such as „Bessie and Billie“, „Porgy and Bess“ and „Ain’t Misbehaving“ as well as her numerous TV appearances, amongst others Germany’s The Voice.
