17:30 - Reading

Konrad or The Child from the Tin Can

Konrad is actually really delivered in a can! He is terribly neat and almost perfect, yet Ms. Bartolotti on the other hand is very messy. So it tales an effort for the two of them to get used to each other. But finally Frau Bartolotti is so fond of Konrad that she never wants to let him go.

The actors Maureen Havlena and Alexander Kruuse Mettin, co-founders of the Vorlesemanufaktur, read from this popular children's book by Christiane Nöstlinger. A humorous and hillarious reading for children aged 8 and over.

Six actors from Hamburg have joined forces in order to establish the ”Vorlesemanufaktur”: Theresa Berlage, Maureen Havlena, Petra Van de Voort, Christine Wilhelmi, Andreas Grötzinger and Alexander Kruuse Mettin. Together they share 90 years of stage presence, 90 years full of bundled experiences with language and stories that they would like to share with their audience in presenting literature readings.

Stress – You’ll just have to get through it!

In his latest stage show, British actor and presenter Mark Lyndon reflects on his experiences with the stress of Germans. Just the thought of it is stressful for him! But as the saying goes - you have to get through it. Mark Lyndon invites us to share this experience with him, to change perspective and to philosophize and laugh about stress factors, after-work stress and the risk of stress.

Mark Lyndon studied literature and theater in London and came to Hamburg in 1982. In  Hamburg he worked for the University Players and the English Theatre, among others.
