The Santaland Diaries - 28.11. - 1.12.2019
A brilliant evocation of what a slacker’s Christmas must feel like. Out of work, our slacker decides to become a Macy’s elf during the holiday crunch. At first the job is simply humiliating, but once the thousands of visitors start pouring through Santa’s workshop, he becomes battle-weary and bitter. Finding consolation in the fact that some of the other elves were television extras on One Life to Live, he grins and bears it, occasionally taking out his frustrations on the children and parents alike. When a new Santa arrives at the workshop, things seem to be different, but will our slacker be able to find the gay Christmas spirit before his employment runs out?

About the artists:
Annabelle Hoffmann detaches herself from familiar motives, merging various facets of the city -such as wild street art or architecture- in her collages, thus redefining Hamburg’s charm and character.
Heike Baltruweit approaches the city as a natural exhibition space, finding abstract aesthetic compositions in reflections on water, concrete walls, marauded pavement and in abandoned factory buildings. Her unedited photographs resemble handcrafted paintings.
Inka Uzoma is best known for her bronze monument of famous Hamburg actress Heidi Kabel, placed in the city centre. With her expressive bronze sculptures, Inka Uzoma wants to irritate and arouse the curiosity of the viewer and make them grasp her art with their hands.

Music Lounge - "Gin & Jazz"
Move the North unites artists from Sweden, Denmark and Germany and invites the audience to experience an evening of differnet music styles, combined with text passages presented by Hamburg and Malmö based actor Andreas Grötzinger.
The four Swedish musicians forming the "Karlshamn Straßenkapelle" enjoy to perform with inner joy –as the name suggests- in the streets and to make people feel happy and relaxed. They present well known standards and evergreens, both in jazz style and in bossa nova mixed with Swedish songs, as some waltzes for instance.
They encounter with Jonathan Fjord Bredholt from the Danish trio Hvalfugl, a group mixing the guitar, contra bass and piano with folk music traditions and the sound of Nordic Jazz. The instrumentation results in soft buth tightly composed songs that will keep you spellbound.
Move the North invites you to experience a combination of skills and artistic values to be lived and experienced in the unique setting of Drilling – a Gin Distillerie and Cocktail Bar.

The Lover – A Pinter Trilogy Part I
“Is your lover coming today?”. The Pinter classic The Lover hits off with this question filling the air. As surprising as it may seem, this is asked within the close relationship of a man and a woman. When the wife goes to work, the husband gets visited by his lover – but not in secret. This is a story about marriage and how unfaithfulness is willingly brought into the relationship. But as you’d expect from a Pinter play, there’s more to it…
